We’re pleased to announce the release of two new open vegetation datasets, developed as part of the Environmental Outcomes Monitoring and Research Program. These datasets capture field survey observations from:
- Vegetation - Namoi: Vegetation monitoring data from 2021 to 2023
- Vegetation - Gwydir: Vegetation monitoring data from 2010 to 2024
📊 Each dataset includes:
- 📂Two spreadsheets:
- One focused on vegetation floristics (species composition, growth form, functional group, etc.)
- One focused on tree stand condition (canopy structure, dead limbs, hollows, DBH, etc.)
- 📑 A metadata statement outlining content, format, and methods used.
This data was collected as part of the DCCEEW Conservation Programs, Heritage and Regulations Group (CPHR) and the DCCEEW Biodiversity Conservation Science Group's - long running Environmental Water monitoring program and the DCCEEW Water Group's Environmental Outcomes Monitoring and Research program https://water.dpie.nsw.gov.au/our-work/science-data-and-modelling/surface-water/environmental-outcomes-monitoring-and-research-program
📥 Access the broader Environmental Outcomes Monitoring and Research Program. These vegetation datasets complement other releases from the Environmental Outcomes Monitoring and Research Program, including:
- Native fish monitoring data – Manning River Catchment (BRUV)
- Freshwater turtle monitoring data – Manning River Catchment
